2008 Economic Crisis: How we
got here and how to fix it
NOTE: The
financial bailout package passed
during the fall of 2008 by the Senate (while the
House was on vacation during the economic crisis)
included a
one year fix to the Alternative
Minimum Tax. The Congress refused to fix
this, but when they went on 'holiday', the
Senate saw the chance to fix it before the
Congress could play political games with the
punishing tax law called Alt-Min Tax.
